Who am I?
My name is Delaney Dowdell and I am 17 years old. I have a deep love for photography and have always loved seeing portrait photography on Pinterest, so when I started taking pictures, I immediately loved it. I got my first DSLR in 2013 (Canon) and ever since, I have loved to take pictures everywhere I go.
How would I describe my photography style?
I love natural sessions where there is minimal staging, and I truly get to capture genuine interactions and personalities. Bright, colorful pictures always look great to me, so I try to capture pictures that are in the moment, and from different perspectives as well, to give a unique look to every picture. I also love to take dramatic pictures as well, and have recently begun doing sports photography, which is very interesting to me.
Where do I shoot?
I can shoot pretty much anywhere in Sarasota/Bradenton/Venice area between September and June, but travel fees apply, and if you have requests for anywhere else, feel free to email me at delaney@dowdellfamily.com to ask. I can shoot in Bar Harbor/Ellenton/Mount Desert Island area between June and August.
When will you get your pictures?
Typically, I try to have the photos to you within a week after your session, usually sooner, and the edited versions to you within a month of your session.
Where do I recommend we take your pictures?
When you email me to book your session, we will talk a lot so I get an understanding of what kind of pictures you are looking for, and from there we will discuss locations, unless you have specific locations in mind already.
What is the coolest picture I've ever taken?
I would have to say the coolest picture I've ever taken was probably in Iceland, during the summer of 2015. It was about 2am, and the sun was setting, only to rise 15 minutes later. I captured the sunset, and the blues, pinks, and purples of the photo were just magnificent. I love taking pictures when I travel, so besides that picture, I'd say most of my favorite pictures are from traveling.
